A Word About Signs

I've gotten a few e-mails from folks this week who believe that Gwinnett County has a total ban on campaign signs.  That is not correct.

Signs may be placed on private property so long as they are out of the road right-of-way.  The right-of-way is generally regarded as 10 ft. from the curb; this is often about the location of utility poles.

Most Gwinnett cities have the same rules.  There is no outright ban on signs in any location within Gwinnett County.

Our signs are being placed by volunteers who are doing their best to place them correctly.  If you see a sign placed incorrectly, please do not hesitate to let us know and we will correct the situation.

Thanks for your continued support.
